A TOTAL WOMAN…

• Woman – a female adult person.

Who is a Total Woman?
From the above definitions a total woman refers to a particular person of the adult female who is unique and complete in all aspects of life.
This is reflected in Proverbs Chapter. 31 where scripture gives a clear-cut example of such a woman. To elaborate further, a few aspects on a total woman will be looked at briefly..

Beauty:
“Charm is deceptive and beauty disappears, but a woman who honours the Lord should be praised”. (Proverbs 31:30).
This scripture gives an indication that beastie cannot be found on the outward appearance, by the clothes we wear, the shape of our bodies, the texture of the skin or anything out on the open that tends to attract the attention of people.
However, it goes a long way to explain that beauty is an inner quality. A beautiful woman is one who knows her God, (for that matter a follower of Christ) and obeys His commandments. In John chapter 15, scripture explains that if we remain in Him (that is God) and He in us we would bear much fruit. Here, the fruit is referring to spiritual fruits such as love, humility, patience, kindness, diligence, cleanliness, happiness, honesty, peacefulness and the like.
These Christian virtues and character is what makes a woman beautiful.
In society, the notion that beauty on the outside is al that is required is deceptive ad unfortunately this canker has found its way into our churches and misleading our women.
Adorning ourselves with fine line and ornament is good (depending of what extent), because when you study nature, with all the shapes, and beautiful colours of living and non-living objects, it is obvious that our Creator loves a pretty site.
However, we should not forget that beauty on the outside only is a momentarily, it s passing, and it is vanity! It is what is inside that matter most.

Knowledge:
Being knowledgeable is not all about academic excellence; it’s also about applying the wisdom, which God gives freely to those who ask. When a woman is knowledgeable she is able to think ahead, (woman of vision), she becomes responsible because she would not be ignorant on what goes on around her or take unreasonable chances either.
She is able to relate the word of God to her practical life, this allows her to build and affirm her assets both weak and strong.
Example is when one is able to know the kind of colours that suit her well, the choice of clothing (knowing your bra and panty sizes) and shoes that are appropriate for each occasion.

Industrious:
Back in the olden days, women were allowed to explore in certain aspects of life. In these days however, things have changes for the better, yet women are not taking full advantage of this opportunity.
Laziness is a tool of the evil one, and has no place in the life of a total woman. Being industrious is working hard at everything and being able to achieve something at the end of it. It also requires that you take the opportunity to learn more and not be discouraged by difficult situations. A total woman invests time, perseveres and reaps success. She also takes the initiative to do the impossible or things thought to be beyond women’s reach. She is able to inspire others and serves as a mentor for the weaker women.

In a nutshell, there is no perfect woman, but there is a total woman. It only requires knowing your God and being led by His word.
