TOPIC: REWARDS FOR RIGHTEOUS LIVING (FRUIT BEARING)
PASSAGE: Psalm 1:1-6 MEMORY VERSE: Ps. 1: 6

INTRODUCITON
Most people both righteous and unrighteous if not all would like to receive blessings so that things will go well for them. Our lesson today is to open our eyes to the blessings of the Lord for the righteous.

QUESTIONS
1. a) How do we understand the word blessing?
b) What does the passage say about blessing?

2. i. Who can enjoy the blessings of God? Give reasons Vrs.1&2
ii. What do you think about Mt. 5:4-5? What is the difference between (i) & (ii)

3. Discuss what God requires of us in relation to
a) the ungodly b) the sinner and c) the scoffer Vr 1

4. From Vrs 2, what should be the delight of the righteous? Prov. 3:1; Deut. 17:17
b) How does the passage describe the righteous? Read Vr 3

5. How does Vr 6 describe the way of the righteous and that of the unrighteous?

6. What have you learnt to do in order to enjoy the blessing of God?

CONCLUSION
To enjoy the blessing of God, we need to delight ourselves in the Word of God and have nothing to do with the way of the unrighteous and sin.
